Odyssey Project (Periods 2 & 5)

Now that we have finished reading The Odyssey, you will be using a Greek urn to retell the story of one of the characters from the story.

In class you will select a number that represents one of the characters from the epic.
You will receive the outline of a Greek urn in class and complete the following:
1. Write the name of your character using the Greek alphabet on the front of the urn.
2. Draw or find a picture of your character and put it on the front of your urn.
3. Draw or find a picture that includes a scene from the epic with your character.
4. On the back of the urn write a 20 word summary or less of what your character's impact was on the epic.
5. Present your urn to the class.

Projects will be due September 27th (Period 2) and September 28th (Period 5).
Worth 10 points doubled.

Hi students!  Whether you are in my English I, English III or AP Lang class, I want you to refer to this blog page in case technology crashes and this is the only way to stay in touch and keep working on assignments. Periods 2 & 5 -- Tolerance Activity

We have read the passage on "Tolerance" by E.M. Forster, the "We and They" by Rudyard Kipling, and song lyrics "People are People" by Depeche Mode. Now you will post below a poem, song lyrics, television show, movie or novel that you believe also addresses the theme of Tolerance.  Make sure to explain the connection in your post.
